2021 marks 10 years since I left a corporate career to pursue my own adventures in employment — working as a communications consultant and photographer.
It’s been quite a journey, and one I’ll write more about in the future. This year The Bridge Between will be my first formal exhibition in eight years, a joint show with portrait artist Robyn Ross.
My first exhibition AquaUrban in 2010, saw more than 100 guests spilling out from a tiny 37m2 rooftop apartment in Sydney’s Kings Cross. This success was repeated during two solo shows Reflective Perspectives in 2011 and UrbanClicks in 2012, as well as group shows: An InstAffair in Sydney and The Story of The Creative in New York, both held during 2013.
At the end of 2012 I created, and began curating, a gallery space for Accor at their Mercure property in Kings Cross. Between 2012 – 2016, I sourced, managed and curated more than 40 shows — including those for a CBD bar and Paddington cafe. You can check them out on Instagram.
In 2016 and 2017 I worked with Sydney’s Head On Photo Festival — Australia’s premier photography event — curating work by both Australian and international photographers.
